Who doesn’t love chocolate? I can’t believe even the Duchess of Cambridge doesn’t indulge in a sneaky few bits of the dark stuff in private. But I’m pretty sure she doesn’t go for ANY old chocolate. In the early days of Right Royal Mother (spring) I was lucky enough to be asked to review the new range of Kingdom chocolate from my favourite EVER brand, Montezuma‘s.
Founder, Helen Pattinson, is one of the most lovely, inspiring women (and mothers – she has three children) I’ve chatted to and her replies to this month’s ‘Queen for the Day’ questions made me chuckle. I hope you enjoy them as much as the delicious chocolate she has created, nurtured and brought up so very nicely…
What would you do if you were queen for 24 hours?
Go undercover and see how my subjects really live – do the school run, unload the dishwasher and then pay a visit to Primark to see what all the fuss is about.
Who would you make time to see?
I would catch up with the Dalai Lama for a cup of tea and put the world to rights.
What, and where would you eat and with whom?
I would eat at Buckingham palace and invite all my neighbours in for tea and cake.
Where would you visit?
Where I always go when I get a chance to sneak away – to the Tower to see my jewels. It’s an excellent day out!
What would you make a speech about?
World peace and chocolate (they are inextricably linked).
What would you wear?
Jeans, trainers and a hoody, because I can and I never have and it looks so comfortable.
What would be your greatest indulgence?
Sparkling English wine for breakfast. And probably with lunch and tea too.
And finally, what new law would you introduce?
Positivity would be compulsory at all times. Just imagine what we could achieve if we were all willing to think positively about everything!
