6 Ways the Duchess of Cambridge is Cleaning Up with the Carwash Je-ans

Kate only has to feed George cake from a paper plate …

… and clean his nose whilst wearing an Alice band for the nation – nay, world – to applaud the Cambridge family palace and ‘Wonder Brand’ (see what I did there?) and her ‘normal’ parenting.

We all know being inappropriately dressed for a toddler-fest can feel sticky though, and love or hate her slightly retro ‘mummy’ garb, Kate’s great at not only remembering the wet wipes but wowing in practical parenting. Take the 70’s-style denim dungarees she wore to nuzzle Lupo with in Vogue. Sensible flats to roll down grassy knolls. Big coats to hide nappies. Kim Kardashian, take note. Here’s how another K rules … oh, and yes, I thought it was about time for another infographic.

Cleaning infog.

“I’m gonna get dressed for success(ors’ mess …)” sings Kate. Probably.

aww she has style but practicality that girl – who knew! Kardashian could learn some tips. Big coats for hiding a mess (surely not?!) and flat shoes – this glass slippers can be so uncomfortable in this hot weather! Those 70s style dungarees though – on point! #KCACOLS

    • June 5, 2016 / 7:37 pm

Haha – thanks Helen; yes, wouldn’t want to wear anything remotely see-through on my feet at the moment! 🙂

  2. June 5, 2016 / 4:11 pm

I can’t see her EVER being a mess. Nanny Spanish is on hand for any second she even veers close! 😀 #KCACOLS

    • June 5, 2016 / 7:37 pm

      Yes, you’re probably right. I can imagine, though …:) x #KCACOLS

  3. June 5, 2016 / 4:41 pm

    I like a good pun.
I’d love to be able to do these things but I expect my limited knowledge of pain wouldn’t get me far 😉

  4. June 5, 2016 / 5:01 pm

Haha, if Kate dressed like a Kardashian she would be totally slated, sadly. I find Kate’s style practical and classic but boring. Then again, I have been known to rock a dungaree myself. Pretty much every day, actually. Who’d have thought it. Certainly not my pre-baby self! #KCACOLS

    • June 5, 2016 / 7:38 pm

Yes, she would and yes, it is pretty practical and boring. But she’s a mother and sometimes dungarees look AMAZING. As I’m sure they do on you! #KCACOLS

Great post and brilliantly observant of our Kate rocking the parent game.
Well done for all your great posts and recognition x

I am taking this infographic and I am going to stick this up on my wall to remind me where I am going wrong and what I need to do to stop looking like I have been dragged through a bush backwards. Yep – yummy mummydom here I come. Thanks for linking up with #KCACOLS today 🙂 xx

    • June 6, 2016 / 6:38 am

If I thought my infographic was on your wall, that would make me VERY proud! 🙂 #KCACOLS

I wonder if these choices are of her own volition or suggested by a stylist? You’ve got to believe Harry made the decision to dress as a Nazi on his own all those years ago.

  8. June 6, 2016 / 9:08 am

I love a pun and there are some great ones here. Dressed for successor’s mess definitely my favourite. #bigpinklink

So I just need to buy these and I’ll instantly be as glamorous and classy as Kate? No?! #bigpinklink

  10. June 6, 2016 / 1:55 pm

Brilliant! And you’ve given me s new reason to justify wearing Breton stripes all the time 😉
